Ophthalmic Nurses were first
welcomed to SOC meetings in October 1995.
It has proved a popular
event, with many Nurses attending from all over Scotland
Participation in the
meetings has allowed them to attend presentations of the medical papers,
thus benefiting from increased knowledge and research awareness.
The 'Nurses only' part of
the meeting - focusing on nursing issues - facilitates the development of
a problem solving network and provides an opportunity to meet colleagues
from different parts of Scotland and share ideas and innovations.
Nurses are encouraged to
organise and develop their section of the meeting.
Spring
Meeting 2012 - Stirling
The next
SOC meeting will be held in Stirling, on
24 February 2012.
This meeting will be hosted
by the team from Tayside, and will have a general theme of Paediatric
Ophthalmology.
