Last Meeting
The spring 2010 meeting of the SOC was held at
Stirling Management Centre, on 26 February 2010. The programme was
organised by the Stirling team.
An very interesting day
was enjoyed by the good attendance - highlights included a
mini-symposium on thyroid eye disease, featuring excellent talks from Mr
Brian Leatherbarrow, Dr Petros Perros and Dr Carrie MacEwen.
Dr MacEwen also took over
the Presidency of the SOC at this meeting, being presented with the
President's medal from the out-going President, Dr Paul Baines.
Congratulations also go to
the winners of the 2010 SOC prizes - the paper prize and SOC Quaich went
to Dr Cian Collins for his excellent presentation on 'The Ocular Trauma
Score'; and the poster prize went to Dr Manish Gupta for his
poster, "Outcome of
Probing for Congenital Naso-lacrimal Duct Obstruction..".
